December has been full at The Collective.
While many of us dread the busyness this season brings, there’s something about working with kids and families that still makes December feel truly magical.
✨ School Impact
• Craft Club was a huge hit! Kids created tons of festive artwork and had so much fun
• We wrapped up our first Executive Functioning groups (way to go!)
• Reading and Math Buddies continued faithfully showing up for students
• Our Collective women gathered at Parkview and made 500+ tamales for Fiesta de Invierno at North Elementary. Watching our women serve the community using their gifts (and delicious skills!) was incredibly beautiful
💛 Family Impact
• 17 women from The Collective attended Women’s Tea! It was such a sweet and joy-filled afternoon
• Our Spanish Alpha group continued asking big, brave questions like “Can we be mad at God?” and “Does Jesus’ death on the cross matter to me?”
• We celebrated Christmas with just the women one week while kids enjoyed Parents’ Night Out
• And we wrapped up the season celebrating Christmas together as families with music, laughter, and great food
🌱 Stories of Impact
• At our Christmas Party, we had meaningful conversations with people who don’t usually attend our events. One husband asked thoughtful questions about Jesus and faith, and we got to share about the goodness of God
• As we cleaned up that night, one woman shared how grateful she was for a place where she can just be herself no pretending, no pressure, just joy and rest in the middle of hard things
We are so grateful for every prayer, every volunteer, and every ounce of support. Thank you for being part of what God is doing through The Collective. ❤️
