January has been cold—but it hasn’t slowed us down one bit. ❄️
We’ve continued showing up for our community in big and small ways, and we’re so grateful.
School Impact
🏀 Basketball Club — 31 students joined us each week this month to learn new skills, practice teamwork, and move their bodies when it’s way too cold to play outside.
🥫 Pantry Fill — Partnering with Glen House in Glen Ellyn, we helped stock North’s pantry so families have access to necessities during these bitterly cold days.
📚 Reading & Math Buddies — Our volunteers are spending 13 hours each week during the school day reading with students and supporting them in math.
Family Impact
✨ Alpha Study — We’re continuing to learn about Jesus and ask honest, real questions about who He is and why it matters personally.
🎨 Craft Nights — Button-making, magnets, and lots of creativity (and laughter).
🛍️ Community Shopping Night — A local shop opened its doors just for our women, creating space for connection, joy, and a few new cosas (things).
Story of Impact
At a thank-you breakfast for the women who made tamales, we went around the table sharing what we were thankful for. The gratitude expressed—for one another and for how this community has shown up—was truly humbling and incredibly sweet. Moments like these remind us why The Collective matters.
Thank you for your prayers—we truly covet them as our world continues to feel wild and uncertain. 💛
