July was yet another month full of fun, laughter, and memory-making with The Collective!
One of the things we love most about summer is that it gives us extra time to invest in relationships. We believe these moments of fun help build trust so that throughout the school year we can continue pointing kids and families to Jesus through Bible studies, Kids Club, mentoring, and simply doing life together.
Community Impact
- Parkview partnered with other organizations throughout Villa Park for Stuff the Bus, helping collect and pack backpacks so students can head back to school with the supplies they need to start the year with confidence.
Family Impact
Wednesday nights continue to be one of the highlights of our summer! They’re filled with laughter, great conversations, and opportunities for families to simply be together.
- We partnered with another organization to take our families to Medieval Times, and for many of them it was their very first visit. One girl celebrated her birthday that night, and as we were walking back to the car she said, “This was my best birthday ever.” Moments like that remind us why we do what we do.
- We hosted a Latin Dance Night at Parkview where families enjoyed music, dancing, and community together.
- We wrapped up another evening with water balloon games—from dodgeball to relay races to an all-out water balloon fight. Everyone left soaking wet and smiling!
School Impact
Even though students are still enjoying summer break, we’ve already begun preparing for the fall. We’ve started conversations with our school partners, met with new staff members, and are planning groups and programs for the upcoming school year. We can’t wait to see what God has in store.

- Pray for our Spanish Bible study as we begin another year together.
- Pray for additional volunteers for our Wednesday night Kids Club as more children continue to come each week.
- Pray for all of our students as they head back to school.
- Pray for continued favor and strong relationships with our school partners as we seek to love and serve our community well.
