🌟 May Collective Update!
Hey Parkview family! Another month has flown by, and we’ve been wrapping up the school year while prepping for what’s next. Here’s a peek at what the Collective was up to in May:
👨👩👧👦 Family Impact:
We wrapped up our Spanish parenting and mental health classes. For many of our families, it was the first time they received support like this in their heart language—and it led to some powerful, life-changing moments.
🏫 School Impact:
- Soccer Club came to a fun and successful close—thank you to all the volunteers who made it happen!
- Remember that school food pantry we stocked back in the fall? We just completed our final restock—over 65 visits this year helped families access essentials in a safe and dignified way!
- Our Middle School Executive Functioning Group wrapped up after a great spring of helping students build self-awareness and time management skills.
- Reading Buddies and Math groups also came to a close, with meaningful send-offs between our volunteers and the students they’ve read with all year long. Sweet, teary, full-circle moments. 🥹📚
🌎 Community Impact:
We had a blast at Passport to North, where we hosted a booth inviting kids to summer campand connecting with Spanish-speaking families about our summer family events.
🌞 What’s Coming Up:
We’ve been busy behind the scenes preparing for a summer full of connection and impact—and it all kicks off June 3rd!
- Summer Camp runs Tuesdays–Thursdays throughout June, offering kids fun activities, new friendships, and meaningful moments.
- Spanish Family Nights will happen every Wednesday this summer, creating space for parents and kids to connect with each other and build community.
