🌟 Can you believe September is almost over?! This month has flown by—and it’s been full of some incredible moments in the Collective!
📚 School Impact
We launched a new Student Lunch Group to help middle schoolers who transferred into Jefferson get connected. Our amazing volunteers are walking alongside these students, helping them build friendships and discover all their new school has to offer.
👨👩👧 Family Impact
Our Spanish-speaking families had a blast this month! From making homemade piñatas 🎉, to exploring the neighborhood on a scavenger hunt 🗺️, to celebrating Mexican Independence Day with a fiesta 🇲🇽—it’s been a joy-filled September.
🌍 Community Impact
Our ESL classes officially launched this week! We’re so excited to see how these classes open doors for connection and growth in our community.
💬 God at Work
As I reflect on this past month, something I keep coming back to is how our Spanish family activities have started to feel more like family—and that’s exactly what parents have been saying. This group began because so many families felt a lack of connection. Now, they show up for one another, count on each other, and feel less alone. Those are huge things. The fact that the Collective gets to be a part of this, helping to facilitate it—it feels like sacred ground. We are in awe of what God is doing.
