Family Dedications

Family Dedications at Parkview are an opportunity for parents to commit to keeping Jesus at the center of their family. It marks the parent’s intentions and commitment to share their faith in Jesus with their children. It often happens at the introduction of a new baby – though you can participate in dedications regardless of your child’s age!

You have probably heard the saying, “it takes a village to raise a child.” We believe that is true, which is why we want to include your closest family and friends who will be part of raising your child as part of our dedications. As a church, we also commit to supporting you in your parenting journey!

This is like what we see Hannah do with her baby, Samuel, in the Bible. She brought him to church and promised the Lord she would raise him to love and follow God. Likewise, Jesus’ parents, Mary and Joseph, take him to the temple to be dedicated as well.

At Parkview, we’re here for you and your kids. Our Family Dedications are an opportunity for us as a church to come alongside you as a parent and join you in your parenting journey. It’s also an excellent way we can be present in supporting one another!

Our Family Dedications have two components.

The first is a private service with just family and relatives at Parkview from 9:30-10:30a on Saturday, September 11. This service is an intimate moment where you, as parents and your extended family, can come and make a commitment to help raise your child in a Christian home.

The second component is our all-church celebration on Sunday, September 12. We invite all of our dedication families to choose a service to attend where we’ll celebrate and pray for you on stage!

We look forward to the opportunity to dedicate even more families in the coming years and cannot wait to see what God does in and through each of these lives and families.
