February 2026

Hola Parkview Family 💛

Every month feels sweeter as our relationships in Villa Park continue to grow. We’ve been serving here for over 15 years, and I still can’t fully wrap my mind around how the Lord continues to move in both big and small ways.

This month has been a steady reminder: He doesn’t need to use us… but He chooses to. And that is such a gift.

Here’s what we’ve been up to:

Community Impact
We hosted a beautiful Ropa de Cambio where women from the community were able to “shop” for clothes and enjoy dinner together. We partnered with another local church, and it was incredible to see it all come together, 15+ volunteers and over 50 women joined us. There was amazing food, laughter, heartfelt prayer, and meaningful connection.

School Impact
Craft Club at North was full of creativity this month owls, coasters, necklaces, and more. We’re building relationships while making space for students to create and feel known.

Reading Buddies is still going strong! Our volunteers are finding their rhythm in the classrooms, and students are being seen, supported, and encouraged every week.

Family
We gathered a few times this month for families and for moms. At our Moms Night Out, we played games (in Spanish!) and celebrated life together.

Our Spanish Alpha study continues to explore prayer and how to read the Bible and this month we were able to give away three Bibles. Such a win!

Behind every event are people who matter deeply, volunteers who love this community so well, and families walking through very real challenges. Even when we can’t see everything God is doing, sometimes He gives us a glimpse and it’s beautiful.

A Story:
Last year, one woman in our Bible study wanted nothing to do with God. This year, as she walks through a difficult season, when asked how we could support her, she simply said, “Pray for me.”

That may seem small, but it’s huge. Instead of turning away from God in hardship, she’s leaning in. She’s asking others to pray on her behalf. That’s growth. That’s faith forming. That’s God at work.

He is so good to us.

As always, we covet your prayers and are so grateful for your support. 💛
