April Update from The Collective 🌼
April has flown by, and The Collective has kept rolling right along! Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to this month:
Family Impact
📖 Spanish Bible Study
We’ve been walking through the book of John together, and it’s been so encouraging to see our moms prioritize being there. They’re engaged, asking thoughtful questions, and really leaning in—it’s been a sweet space.
School Impact
Cooking Club
Another fun month of cooking with students—we love getting to build relationships through simple, hands-on moments.
📚 Reading Buddies
We wrapped up another great season! Our volunteers have faithfully shown up week after week, supporting both students and teachers in meaningful ways.
💬 Affinity Group (Middle School)
This group continues to be a safe space for middle school students to talk about what they’re going through—and they are really loving it.
🥐 Teacher Appreciation Breakfast
We had the chance to host a breakfast for the staff at North Elementary—just a small way to say, “we see you and we appreciate you.”
Community Impact
🎬 Spanish Movie Night
We hosted an indoor movie night over spring break—it was a fun and relaxed way for families to connect.
🌿 Healthy Kids Day
This was a big one! We had over 300 people attend and partnered with 30 organizations to help families learn about summer opportunities in the area.
🎉 Spring Break Camp
We had a great week with students playing games, making fun crafts, and learning about Jesus. It was full of energy, laughter, and meaningful moments.

We are so grateful for your continued support and prayers—it truly makes all of this possible.
As we head into summer, we’d love prayer for:
- More volunteers for Summer Camp—that the right people would step in and say yes to serving
- The students coming to camp—that they would feel known, have fun, and experience the love of Jesus
- Meaningful connections—that relationships built at camp would last beyond the week
- Energy and wisdom for our team as we prepare and lead well
