December has been a full and meaningful month in Student Ministry as our middle school and high school students wrapped up the year together.
Earlier this month, students helped fill the Care Pantry, serving our church and local families by collecting and organizing needed items. It was encouraging to see students take ownership of meeting practical needs and living out their faith in tangible ways.
We also leaned into the season with Christmas-themed gatherings, including festive games, food, and time together as a ministry. One highlight was our Christmas Karaoke Party, where students brought the energy, laughter, and some surprisingly bold song choices as we celebrated the end of the semester.
In addition, many of our students attended Encounter, our winter retreat, where they stepped away from the noise of everyday life to worship, reflect, and grow in their relationship with God alongside their leaders and peers. We had an absolute blast. It was a powerful weekend that continues to shape conversations with students even after returning home.
As we close out the year, we’re grateful for the ways God is moving in the lives of our students and for the continued support of our church family. Thank you for praying, encouraging, and investing in the next generation.
