The school year is off to an awesome start in Parkview Students! The past two months have been full of momentum, new friendships, and moments where we’ve seen God at work in real ways.
We kicked things off with a full-day trip to Six Flags with roller coasters, giant pretzels, and a ton of laughter. It set the tone for a fall where students have continued to show up, invite friends, and jump right in.
Sunday mornings have been a weekly highlight. High schoolers meet in Room 203 for Breakfast Club where we are talking about faith over donuts and bagels. At the same time middle schoolers fill the 772 House for worship, teaching, and space to explore big faith questions. We love seeing both environments continue to grow.
On Sunday nights, our high schoolers chose what they wanted to learn this fall, and they picked temptation. It led to some honest and encouraging conversations about pressure, wise choices, and the hope we have in Jesus. Small groups have been the heartbeat of these nights, giving students a place where they are known and supported.
We’ve also seen students live out their faith beyond Sundays. In October, they helped stock the shelves of Parkview’s Care Pantry to support families in our community. And for some fall fun, our high schoolers took on the Haunted Corn Maze at Jonamac Orchard — a night filled with jump scares and memories.
We’re grateful for how God is moving . Students returning, new students joining, and real steps of faith happening each week. And with our Encounter Retreat coming up December 12–14, we can’t wait for what’s ahead!
