Our Beliefs

“Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching… Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.”

Ephesians 4:14–15

ABOUT GOD

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19)

ABOUT JESUS

We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. We believe He lived a sinless life, died for the sins of the world, and physically rose from the grave. He ascended into heaven and will one day return to earth. (Matthew 1:18–25; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Acts 1:9–11)

ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit gives new life to all who place their faith in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit indwells every believer, providing power for living and guidance in discerning spiritual truth. (John 16:7–14)

ABOUT SCRIPTURE

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the final authority for our beliefs and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Peter 1:20–21)

ABOUT HUMANITY + SALVATION

We believe every person is created in the image of God and is loved by Him beyond measure. While each of us experiences the brokenness of sin, our value and worth are never diminished in God’s eyes.

We also believe that, apart from God’s grace, we are separated from Him and spiritually dead—unable to restore our relationship with Him on our own. No one can earn salvation through good works or moral achievement. Instead, salvation is God’s gracious gift, offered through Jesus Christ and received by faith. Through Him, we are forgiven, restored, and invited into a right and everlasting relationship with God. (Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–10)

ABOUT HUMAN SEXUALITY

We believe Scripture teaches that God’s intention is for sexual intimacy to be experienced exclusively within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. (Genesis 1:27–28; 2:24; Mark 10:6–8)

ABOUT THE CHURCH

We believe the local church is a community of believers in Jesus Christ who gather to worship God, grow in faith, serve others, and experience authentic community. We believe the church reflects the beauty of God’s diverse creation, bringing together people of different backgrounds, stories, and experiences into one body in Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:27; Ephesians 4:11–12)

ABOUT BAPTISM

We believe baptism is an opportunity for believers to publicly declare their trust in Jesus, mark their repentance, and identify with Christ’s death and resurrection. While baptism does not save, it is an important act of obedience and a meaningful step in the life of every follower of Jesus. (Romans 6:3–4; Acts 2:38–41)

ABOUT COMMUNION

We believe communion is a sacred act of remembrance through which we reflect on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and celebrate His great love and sacrifice for us. Communion reminds us of the grace we have received through Christ and the unity we share as His people. We invite all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ to participate with gratitude, humility, and faith as we remember His saving work on our behalf. (Luke 22:19–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26)
